Apple and Avocado Smoothie


Apple and Avocado Smoothie works well as a quick breakfast or a post-dinner treat.

Ingredients:

Apple - 1 
Avocado - 1 
Mint leaves - 1/4 cup 
Lime juice - 2 tsp
Water - 2 cups
Ice Cubes - 1 cup 

Preparation:

Add all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
Pour it over ice cubes and garnish with mint leaves and enjoy your Apple and Avocado Smoothie.

Any little girl's best friend is Barbie or Princess,They would love to have this princess cake for birthday party. This is my first Princess cake so i tried it on a small cake,It was pretty easy and fun to decorate.


Inside its a Pineapple cake covered with butter cream icing and pink fondant and decorated with small blossoms.
I'm actually happy with the way it turned out.

Tip : Decorate with a real doll so that the birthday girl can play with the doll later.

Wilton Advanced Gum Paste Flowers (Course 4) Final Cake



This is my final cake for Course 4-Wilton Advanced Gum Paste Flowers.
I wanted to integrate all the flowers that I made during the course onto my cake and I did use all of the flowers except blossoms & Gerbera Daisy.



In last class we dry painted all of our flowers which we made in the earlier classes. I really enjoyed the painting part because it was so enjoyable to see the flowers coming to life! Specially the Stargazer Lily.



The flower arrangement is made by wrapping and taping all of the flowers together with floral tape. It is inserted into the cake using a flower spike.I am very pleased and happy with my final project!

These flowers are good forever as long as they are safely stored in an airtight container and you can reuse them on the next cake.

Sprouted Green Bean & Avocado Salad



Ingredients:
Sprouted Green Bean (green moong) - 1 cup
Chopped tomatoes - 1/2 cup
Chopped cucumber - 1/2 Cup
Chopped red onion - 1/4 cup
Grated Carrot - 1/2 cup
chopped Avocado - 1
Chopped cilantro - 2 tbsp
Roasted cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice - 1 tsp 
Black pepper -1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Olive oil - 1 tsp

Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients in order and toss it well.
Serve and enjoy the healthy Sprouted Bean and Avocado Salad.


How to make sprouts:

  • Soak the whole green bean (moong dal) overnight.After soaking moong dal, it will double in volume.
  • Line a colander with muslin cloth. Drain the water and loosely wrap the beans with the muslin cloth. 
  • Store the soaked beans in a warm dark place like a closed oven or cover with a heavy cloth. Within a day the beans will be sprouted. 
Note: To skip Salt & Pepper i used Salt-Free Mrs Dash Seasoning Blend.

Wilton Advanced Gum Paste Flowers (Course 4)


My favorite flower that I learned in course 4 is the gorgeous Stargazer Lily, the star of the show!
We started making the leaves for Stargazer Lily in lesson 2 and petals in lesson 3. In class 4 we dry painted each of the petals and leaves and then put the flower together with floral tape, taping each petal and leaf one by one.




Yellow Sweet Peas, ivy leaves made of gum paste and painted with goldenrod color.


 Stephanotis Flowers, Bud and Ivy leaf made of gum paste. 


Briar Rose made of gum paste and painted with deeppink and goldenrod.

Avocado Shake




Ingredients


Ripe Avocado - 1 
Ice cubes - 4-5
Low fat Milk - 1/2 cup
Fat free sweetened condensed milk  - 2-3 tbsp

Preparation

Using a spoon, scoop out avocado flesh into the blender and add Milk,condensed milk & ice cubes. Blend for 20 seconds,Pour into a glass and drink right away.
