Ingredients:
Rava (Sooji)- 1 cup
Onion - 1 medium
Green Chillies - 3 to 4
Ginger - 1 inch piece
Carrot - 2 Medium
Tomatoes - 2 Medium
Green peas - 1/2 cup
Cashew nuts or Peanuts - 10
Mustard - 1/4 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 5 to 6 leaves
Coriander leaves - To garnish
Salt to taste
Oil/Butter/Ghee - 1 tbsp
Water - 3 cups
Preparation:
- Roast the rava(Sooji) on medium heat until its golden brown and set aside.
- Heat butter/ghee/oil in a pan, season with mustard seeds, urad dal & cashew nuts or peanuts.
- Add onion, green chillies, curry leaves and grated ginger and fry for 2 mins.
- Add carrot ,green peas and tomatoes and fry for a 2-3 mins.
- Add 3 cups water and salt to taste and let it boil. When the veggies are cooked well slowly add the rava.
- keep stirring the mixture while adding rava to avoid lumps.
- Cover with lid and cook it for 5 mins on medium heat.
- Finally garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot tomato bath with any chutney.
