Ingredients:
Rice - (1 cup)
Milk - (2-3 cups)
Sugar - ( 1/2 cup) / Jaggery - ( 1/2 cup )
Ghee - ( 2 tbsp )
Peanuts - ( 1/2 cup)
Cashew nuts - (1/2 cup)
Cardamom powder - ( 1/2 tsps )
Preparation:
- Cook the rice with 1:3 ratio of water .
- Dry roast the peanuts, grind them and keep them aside.
- Roast the cashew nuts in ghee and keep them aside.
- Add milk and sugar/jaggery to the cooked rice and cook it for 8-10 mins.
- Add Cardamom powder and peanut powder and mix it well.
- Garnish with roasted nuts and ghee ,Sweet pongal is ready to serve.
