Ingredients:
Raw plantains ( 2 )
Channa dal ( 1/2 cup)
Coconut Powder ( 2 tbsp )
Green Chillies (5-6)
Onion ( 1 )
Turmeric (1/4 tsp)
Cumin seeds (1/2 tsp)
Mustard Seeds (1/2 tsp)
Oil (2-3 tbsp)
Cilantro to garnish
Salt to taste
Preparation:
- Soak the Channa dal in water for 10-15 mins.
- Boil the plantains in water for 5 mins then peel and slice into small cubes.
- Grind the coconut powder, green chillies, a pinch of salt and make a paste.
- Take a pan add oil , cumin seeds, mustard seeds , Onion and fry for 2 mins.
Add Turmeric , Channa dal and fry for a min. - Then add the plantain cubes and fry for a 2-3 mins ,add the coconut chilly paste
and mix it well add salt to taste. - Cook them covered for about 10-15 minutes.
- Garnish with cilantro , its ready to serve with rice.
