Chicken (3 lbs)
Chopped Cilantro (2 cups)
Chopped Mint (1/2 cup)
Green chillies (4-5)
Chopped Onion (1)
Chopped Ginger(1 inch stick)
Water (1 cup)
Oil (2-3 tbsp)
Cumin seeds (1/2 tsp)
Mustard Seeds (1/2 tsp)
Coriander powder (1 tsp)
Chopped garlic (2 tsp)
Turmeric (1/4 tsp)
Salt to taste
Plain yogurt(2-3 tbsp)
Fresh cilantro to garnish
Preparation:
- In a blending jar add chopped cilantro(stem & leaves),Mint leaves,Green chillies,ginger and blend it smooth. Add 1/2 cup of water if needed.
- In a pan add oil,cumin , Mustard seeds and cook for 30 secs.Add onion , chopped garlic , turmeric , coriander powder and fry for 2 mins.
- Add chicken , salt to taste and let it fry for 2-3 mins,then add the mint and cilantro mixture and cook for 4-5 mins
- Add yogurt, 1/2 cup of water and cook it until the chicken is fully cooked approx( 8 mins).
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with plain rice or fried rice.
